MD / Certified Web Designer
Welcome to this creative online space, where I combine my everyday work in medicine and web design to explore, write about, and share reliable information on current medical topics from everyday life.
The public healthcare system is designed to be fair and accessible. In practice, however, it struggles with a shortage of healthcare professionals, and the officially planned average time per patient is up to 7 minutes. In reality—especially during viral seasons and outbreaks of infectious diseases—this time is often closer to 4 minutes due to heavy patient load.
This space was created as a safe and calm place that, through its articles, offers answers to some of today’s relevant medical topics, as well as to the questions most frequently asked in primary care offices. Because of limited consultation time (with a typical family doctor–patient ratio of around 1:2,000), these questions often cannot be addressed in sufficient detail during a regular visit.
While we wait for adequate solutions from the responsible institutions—for the benefit of patients, doctors, nurses, and our wider community—I hope you find these texts helpful and reassuring.
